FAQ
Reliable Flood Defense at a Moment’s Notice
How long do StormBags stay hydrated?
The time it takes to fully dehydrate depends on the climate you are in. In low humidity (desert conditions) it takes an average of 2 weeks. In humid conditions it can take much longer. Expose to sun and frequently turn over to help speed up the process. Do not store while they are wet. If they are left exposed to water, they will stay at their full size indefinitely. Once the bag is dehydrated, it can be stored and re-used.
Do StormBags work in salt water?
No, StormBags are not designed to hydrate in salt water. However, they will be effective in holding back salt water after being hydrated in fresh water.
How do you dispose of StormBags?
StormBags are non-toxic which means that they are landfill friendly, but you’d be missing out on the opportunity to lay a few around your trees and bushes to keep them hydrated in drought conditions. StormBags will dry up in a few weeks in hot/dry conditions. They can then be stored for re-use.
